　　膨润土是以蒙脱石类矿物，主要成份为黏土岩，含70—80%的蒙脱石，含有较少量的其它矿物。在陶瓷工艺生产中加入膨润土，不仅增加了胚体或釉料的塑性和强度，使润滑作用大大增大，还有利于球磨。另外悬浮性和稳定性大大增强，瓷质细腻，色调柔和.釉机光滑，透光度好，抗碰撞，有一定的机械强度。
